Event August 18: Moms Night Out hosted by Lori Fettner!

Every mom needs a night out!

August 11, 2016

Two moms collaborate to present a mom’s night out in Westchester,Thursday 8/18/16.  Lori Fettner is celebrating the release of her new book, Welcome to Motherhood, which features poems for new moms.  Lori decided rather than host the usual book launch party, she would make this celebration a mom’s night out.  A major inspiration behind the book was the isolation Lori felt as a new mom, so she wants to host an event that will let other new moms know they are not alone.  What better way to show that than a (free) night out for moms hosted by moms!

Most gifts for new moms are really gifts for the baby: clothes, toys, diapers. This book is the perfect gift for that new mom in your life (or for yourself!) The poems are just the right length to be read in those moments between diaper changes and feedings when a new mom is feeling alone, panicked, or just in need of a laugh. Based on the real-life experiences of a fellow new mom, Welcome to Motherhood covers the first year, from mood swings and exhaustion, to date nights, nursing dilemmas, and toys that drive you crazy. Each poem is paired with a photo, and the first pages include a spread for the gift giver to write a message, and for the mom to write her own reflections on motherhood. Written by mom and blogger Lori Fettner. Visit LoriFettner.com for more details.
