Goat Trail Lookout- Peekskill So I really don't know the official name of the Goat Trail Lookout and a quick google search wasn't much of a help. To get there take Route US 9 North to the Annsville Circle. Follow the signs for the Bear Mountain Bridge. As you drive up the mountain in the left you will find a place to park! This area may be very crowded.

Bear Mountain Zoo Parking Lot GPS: Use Bear Mountain Inn address: 55 Hessian Drive, Bear Mountain, NY 10911

Joe Bohrdrum Field Park, North Salem This sports field is far away from houses and street lights. Large parking lot so you probably don't even need to go out into the grass!

Steamboat Dock-Verplanck    Route 9 North to the Louisa street exit. Make left onto John Walsh BLVD. Follow 2.5miles until you get to the river.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Pound Ridge
6 Reservation Rd, Pound Ridge Large fields. Some parts may be open at night

Rockwood Hall State Park Sleepy Hollow
From US 9 (Broadway) in Tarrytown head north. Follow the entrance road to Phelps Memorial Hospital all the way through the hospital parking lots to a parking area on Rockwood Road. Alternately from Route 9A or the Taconic State Parkway, take the Route 117 exit and head west to Rockwood Road where it ends in a parking area.

Fahnestock State Park (Clarence Fahnestock)    I called Fahnestock to confirm if access is permitted after dark and was given some really great information. If you visit the main office (
1498 Route 301 Carmel, NY) you can get a stargazing permit which gives you access to the beach where there is a large field. The other option is to go to the campground parking lot and park there.
