Young at Art has weekly half-day art camps running all summer long, right up to September 1st. There is no minimum number of weeks you need to sign up for. Camps for children aged 3 to 5-years-old are 9:30-12:00 in the mornings and for children entering grades 1 through 4, they are 1:00-4:00 in the afternoons. Each week has a different theme. They have fun topics such as Pizzeria week, where preschoolers will make a play oven and pizza with removable pieces to play with over and over again, and Harry Potter week, where school age children will make a wand, a house elf, and their own house flag. Your child can make a fairy castle, a bake shop, or an artistic robot. He or she can learn about graffiti and pop art or sculpture. They will come home with a stuffed animal they made or a pirate puppet and treasure chest. This is a camp you don’t want to miss!
Young at Art has been nurturing creativity in our communities for over 37 years. Its focus is on helping children tap into their own creativity and artistic style. Their mission is to help children build self-esteem through self expression. The teachers are all professionals who have been working with children for many years. They develop nurturing caring relationships with each child and give every camper personal attention. The student-teacher ratio is no more than 6:1.
